Chicago Stockyards
Shown in these two visuals is the present location of one of the stockyards in which Upton Sinclair conducted his research for his acclaimed novel, The Jungle. The stockyard was known as the Chicago Union Stockyard and it became one of Chicago's largest, most centralized and efficient stockyards. Today, all that is left of it is its prominent entryway.
